Comparing Timed C/E Systems with Timed Automata (Abstract)

چکیده

Condition/Event systems 14] represent a continuous{time modeling framework used in control theory within the eld of discrete event dynamic systems. This model has been extended in 7] to include real{time aspects. Timed automata 2] are a widely accepted model for real{time systems. They have been intensively studied from diierent points of view leading to a variety of tools that analyze real{time systems modeled by timed automata. We investigate the relationship between timed C/E systems and timed automata. We provide an eeective function that associates to each timed C/E system an \equivalent" timed automaton. Equivalence is deened precisely in the paper but has to be understood here as describing essentially the same real{time behaviours. A beneet from providing such a function is that analysis tools, such as model checking tools, developed for timed automata can now be applied to analyse timed C/E systems. We also prove that timed automata can be translated into equivalent timed C/E systems.
